Lost Acres Horse Rescue and Rehabilitation (LAHRR)
"In operation since July, 1994, LAHRR was established as a shelter for abused, neglected and injured horses as an alternative to slaughter, euthanasia, or just being left to die.
LAHRR is registered with the State of Ohio, board governed and staffed by dedicated volunteers.
A 501 (c)(3) (non-profit) organization,
LAHRR is funded solely by donations which are tax deductible.
Our goal is to rehabilitate as many horses as possible and
maintain them comfortably at our facility for the duration of their life.
At their time of passing, they will be placed on Rose's Ridge,
a ridge overlooking our entire farm.
As of May, 2001, we no longer offer our outside adoption program.
Please feel free, however, to contact us about any problems or questions you may have regarding your horse. .
Be sure to check out our Sponsorship Program
Although Ohio based, LAHRR accepts horses from throughout the United States and Canada as space allows."
