2 How do you decide that Today is the Day to put your best friend to sleep? How do you decide that Today is the Day to put your best friend to sleep?
** personal note: this site helped me when it came time to decide when to put my 14 year old dog to sleep. Don't think I read it and made a decision right there and then. I didn't. It took a year, lots of medications for him, a few cancelled appointments (he always seemed to be ok on the day we decided to "do it"), and a lot of thinking on our part. The site made me realize it's never going to be easy and they are never going to say "OK, let's go do it!!" You have to make the decision and do what is best for your loyal companion. (and yes, I'm tearing up at this - it's been 4 months and it still hurts) I recommend this site highly, get some kleenex ready and seriously think about the points this author has on the painful, emotionally traumatic subject of putting your best friend to sleep. (Ok, now I'm flat out bawling...I miss you Nick!)
