Colorado Horse Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to horses and the people who love horses. Our mission is to find new homes for abandoned, abused, neglected or unwanted horses. Over 200 unpaid volunteers give their time to make this happen.

H.O.R.S.E Rescue & Sanctuary
Chris and Mike Dodge started H.O.R.S.E. Rescue and Sanctuary in 1993. At that time, they just took in one horse at a time and were self-funded. As time marched on and the demand to take in more horses grew, they decided to incorporate and file for their tax exempt status, which was granted by the IRS in September of 1997. With the help of many volunteers and public donations, the organization has saved nearly four hundred horses, placing most in good homes. Those horses that are deemed unplaceable due to age, health, or trauma from abuse will remain in Sanctuary for the remainder of their lives. Most of the horses are being cared for in the western New York facility but a few are in foster homes due to space limitations.

Last Chance Corral
The Last Chance Corral is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of giving abused, neglected and unwanted horses and ponies an alternative to slow, inhumane death or slaughter.
"At The Last Chance Corral, we work to alleviate the suffering and senseless slaughter of domestic equine and to provide an environment for rehabilitation and carefully selected adoptive homes that are appropriate for each horse's individual needs and abilities.

Mylestone Equine Rescue
Mylestone Equine Rescue (M.E.R.) is dedicated to abused and neglected horses. M.E.R. works to educate the general public about these unspeakable sufferings and promotes the plight of unwanted horses.
Our goal is to place these once magnificent creatures in homes that will give them the true love and care they deserve. If suitable homes are not found, M.E.R. will be a permanent home for these horses.

Our mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.” The ASPCA works to rescue animals from abuse, pass humane laws and share resources with shelters nationwide.
